Woodhouse Juniors 1-6 Laughton Boys

On a terrible pitch, Laughton carved out a victory over sorry Woodhouse. Almost straight from kick-off Laughton were awarded a penalty after Danny Clough burst into the box and was clattered. Skipper Callum Howis drilled the ball into the back of the net to make it 1-0 to Laughton. It was James Rogan who popped up with the second soon after. More Laughton pressure brought more rewards, Danny Clough's pass from the age of the area, hit Jamie Pinders ankle and fell to Alex Hodgson who side-footed it in from 8 yards.

Half-Time: 0-3

Minutes into the second half and half-time substitute Kyle Daly scored his first of the game, with a cool finishes and he grabbed his 2nd later in the half. Brad Baxter who came on up front, scored the final goal. Although Woodhouse pulled one back it was only a consolation goal. The boys did well on a pitch at least an inch thick with wet mud! Many chances were fluffed due to the conditions, on a better pitch, Laughton could have at least doubled their tally.
