Hackenthorpe 1-2 Laughton Boys

Match report from todays away win against Hackenthorpe:

The game was very tight was both sides producing good chances, it was Laughton who opened the scoring, throught Tom Oxby, defender turned striker. But Hackenthorpe leveled soon after. Thats how it stayed until half-time. At half time manager Ian Sutcliffe brought on Alex Hodgson to replace Tom Oxby. The game looked as if it was going to be a draw, with both sides going close. But it was Alex Hodgson who scored the winner for Laughton, neat play by Carl Harrison near the by-line found Hodgson who hit the ball side-footed across goal only for a Hackenthorpe defender to get the last touch and guide it into the net. Another 3 points for Laughton, who are now a point off top spot with three games in hand.

Starting 11:

Baxter..............Howis..........Dodsworth..............Keeton

Some bad news this week is that striker Jamie Pinder wont play for the club again, after a to do with school. And we were also knocked out of the trophy by bogie team Killamarsh Dynamos, 2-1. James Rogan scoring.
